International Meteor Conference 2011 - 30^th edition

The IMC 2011 logo was created by Alexandru Sebastian Grigore.

It shows the symbolic representation of Sibiu’s best known monument, the Council Tower (Romanian: Turnul Sfatului). Also, the 30^th anniversary of IMC is represented in the logo.

The Council Tower bears this name due to the fact that the old City Hall is situated right next door, the building being mentioned in documents as early as 1324. Over time, the tower had several uses: from grain storage to an observation deck for fires, a prison or even a museum of natural sciences (at the middle of the 18^th century).
