Visa and Passport Information

Croatia is negotiating to became part of the EU. EU citizens can freely enter Croatia, but please do not forget your passport as there is still border control between EU and Croatia, and between Croatia and other neighbouring countries. At this moment citizens of Slovenia, Italy and Hungary can enter Croatia with personal ID card only, but please inform yourself before travel!
Citizens of most other countries can enter Croatia without visa too, but please check this with your ministry of foreign affairs or with nearest Croatian embassy. There are no possibilities to get a visa at a Croatian border. You can also check the site of the croatian ministry of foreign affairs for the visa information.
Location of Porec
For known members from the countries for which visas are necessary we will gladly send official invitations provided that they inform us about this in time. If you need visa the deadline for the registration is June 1st. In that way we will have enough time to send you an official invitation.
Please note: we will NOT send invitation letters to strangers.
Getting to Porec
There are several international airports nearby, the closest being Trieste (Italy), Pula, Rijeka and Ljubljana (Slovenia). Zagreb (capital of Croatia) has a big international airport, so this is also a possibility. Usually, the most convenient airport is the Trieste International Airport which is approx. 70 km north-west from Poreč. There are regular bus lines from Trieste to Poreč. The airports of Pula or Rijeka can also be used.
Poreč can be reached by bus too. There are many bus lines from direction of Trieste Ljubljana, Rijeka and Zagreb. Those who prefer trains can travel to those towns and take a bus as Poreč has no railroad connections at al. Additional informations can be found at the site of Poreč
Please contact the Local Organization Committee if you need transport from Poreč to the hotel.
For those who wish to come by car, there is a good highway or fast road connection through the whole of Croata from any direction possible.
