CAMS BeNeLux meteor observers checked their video recordings of their sky cameras, shared them and could determinated the path of the object.

A few days ago, during the Quadrantids period of highest activity, a bright fireball was recorded by an embarked cameras in Russia. According to the video record, it seems to have occured on January 3rd, 2017, around 18h 43min local time.

It was followed a few day after, by another bright event filmed over the Arkhangelsk region, on January 8th, 2017.

And on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, a bright fireball was captured in Brazil, on January 6th, 2017, at 06h 10min UT, by cameras of BRAMON (BRazilian Meteor Observing Network).

If you saw one of those fireballs, or another one, do not hesitate to report it! Fireball season is coming!
